My family came to Carson’s for food today and we really enjoyed our experience all around. The food is of a great quality and great presentation and the atmosphere was quiet, peaceful and pleasant. Will come again if we are in the area.

Popped into Carsons today for breakfast....have passed by it numerous times but never tried....I can see this place as a regular stop off now. Decor inside was a surprise, as it is very unassuming from the outside. Lots of seating, staff were friendly and chatty. Coffee was nice, and the breakfast was made with good quality ingredients and well cooked. I have booked again for the boozy tapas, can't wait to try again.

My sister and I came to Carsons on a recommendation from one of the people in a shop we visited in the High St at Chester Le Street. I had the veggie and Hazel tried the Scottish breakfast. It was great food, great service and a good price. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area If you want a decent breakfast in a lovely atmosphere.

This little restaurant is a hidden gem! The decor....I love it! Little stage lights hanging from the ceiling and mirrors on the wall that look like windows. They also have a few fake trees that add to an autumn aesthetic. The staff were really nice and the food was 1st rate! It was delicious, we didn't wait long, not that we would've minded because the atmosphere is so relaxing and the seating very comfortable. This is my new favourite venue for a meal out.

I can't do anything other than recommend this place. I've been a few times. Sometimes just for a cuppa and other times for drinks and food. I love the tapas food on the afternoon menu. The place is lovely and clean, food is really tasty and the staff - well, I can't do anything but recommend these also, always welcoming and attentive- nothing is ever a problem. I have to admit, this is definitely a favourite place to go. And I definitely love their gin choices.

My daughter chose to treat me to lunch here today for one of our dining experiences as a good friend is the chef. On entering, the place is very welcoming, well decorated and beautifully relaxing. Food, service and atmosphere are all most unexpected for little old Chester le Street, Carson's wouldn't be out of place on the Quayside. Not ostentstious, just very cosy in what used to be Nobles' café. I went for the scampi- PROPER WHITBY scampi, which was cooked to perfection along with a side salad and skin-on fries. I do love scampi when I'm in the mood, and Carson's did me proud-crispy and not oily., which happens when the oil's not hot enough. I savoured every mouthful, along with a very good Moretti Amy went for the pulled pork bbq burger which was equally delicious but which I unfortunately had to finish as Amy's eyes were bigger than her stomach. Oh dear Apparently open evenings on a Friday and Saturday too, worth booking a table due to the beautiful ambience. We'll be back. Top marks to all staff for their swift, pleasant and efficient service
